C.J. is Handsome In Pink

If C.J. were Oprah and this were his favorite things episode he would give all of you clothes from Handsome In Pink.  But, C.J. isn’t Oprah and he only has one item to giveaway, so you are all going to have to fight for it like Jerry Springer’s audience.

Here is C.J. in his all-time favorite shirt, which is by Handsome In Pink.  It’s a purple number with a pink dirt bike on the front.  I also like the “Handsome In Pink” printed on the back.

The amazing gals at Handsome In Pink have been kind enough to offer up an item for giveaway to one Raising My Rainbow reader.  Lucky you…maybe.  And, now, a word from our sponsors…

“Handsome in Pink is a groovy Oakland, Calif., clothing line that started in 2007. Our mission has always been to empower people (babies, kids, & adults) by undressing stereotypes and offering clothes that actually reflect who we are and what we like to do. We believe that colors (such as pink and purple) and active imagery (such as fire trucks, tool belts, and electric guitars) belong to everyone and should be mingling, not dividing up along gender lines. The way we see it, there should be more sharing of clothes amongst girls and boys.”

To enter this giveaway, go to their website at www.HandsomeInPink.com and, then, leave a comment at the bottom of this post telling me what item you would want if you won.  A winner will be selected randomly by C.J. and announced next Thursday.

Oh my, I LOVE that site! And this one, obviously. I love what you’re doing here.

I’d want the blue ringer tee that says “Girly Girl” on it. ❤

Hey CJ and CJ’s mom! Keep up the great work; I love reading your blog!

I’d love the Men’s Pink & Purple dirtbike tee like the one CJ has, but in a size adult medium, of course!

I would love the Women’s Organic Dirtbike Pink & Purple Tee, such a great shop!

  4. Brooke Lange says:

I work at an amusement park in Indiana and work very closely with Santa Claus. I just wanted to let you know that frequently I hear the most adorable little boys asking for dress up dresses, Barbies, and Disney princess toys. They are all perfect just the way they are like C.J. 🙂

    Also:
Rocket & Stars Pink & Black Tank Dress in XL

    Men’s “Tickled” Pink & Gray Tee (http://www.handsomeinpink.com/cgi-bin/hip/hipta3000.html)

Say hi to C.J. for me!

  8. Felisha says:

I am so glad I am not the only one who saw a clothing company like this as not only necessary but also fun! I’d love the Women’s Dirtbike tee. How cute! I looked for my niece (beyond a tomboy, but she is a glorious mix of pink and dirt), but nothing above a 6T, it looks like.

    Thanks for sharing!

  9. Gabrielle says:

I love the Call Me President long-sleeve for my daughter, size 6T. I wish I could have gotten her the tool-belt onesie when she was a baby. Great store!

  10. Emily says:

I would go for the grey long-sleeved shirt with the rocket on the front for my twin girls.

  11. AkMom says:

First choice would be the shirt like your son’s, the pink motorcycle on purple for my grandson. His favorite color right now is pink and his mom is fine with that.
Second choice would be the long sleeved rocket T. Same grandson.

Either one in a size 4T (wish they came in a 5!!)

  12. Sara Habein says:

Jammin’ Electric Guitar Purple & Lavender 3/4 Sleeved Baseball Tee in Size 8 for my daughter. Failing that, the rocket T-shirt or tank in 4T for my son. Great site.

  13. Jaymie says:

I would love the purple dirt bike shirt in medium. Hi, C.J!!!

  14. Maeve says:

Awesome site, I’d go for the Women’s Dirtbike Pink & Purple Tee.

  15. sqpeggy says:

Thanks for having this blog. I hope you know how much comfort and joy it brings to fellow parents. At any rate– it would be great to have the “White long-sleeved waffle knit “Call Me President” tee in 6T for my little girl. Keep up the strong work.

  16. Izzy says:

Oooooo! That Men’s “Tickled” Shiirt just tickles my fancy. Can’t imagine what would happen if people see me wearing that. *Evil grin*

  17. kuuleimomi says:

Girly Girl t-shirt stole my heart. Now I just have to figure out if they can ship it to the other side of the world.

  18. rachael1013 says:

Oh my gosh, everything there is SO CUTE! If I had a girl, I would totally buy the ‘don’t call me princess, call me president’ shirt. But, my 5 year old is not a princess (though he loves to have his nails painted!). I think I’d go for the “Purple Power Tool Belt On Blue Short-Sleeved Onesie” for my little dude. So cute!

  19. Tal says:

Love the same shirt as CJ – purple with pink bike on it. But I cannot decide whether to get it for myself (women’s large size), or for one of my sons (4T or 6T). If I win, I’ll have to make up my mind by then… Great shirts! (love also the princess/president ones for baby girl, but have no baby girl 🙂

  20. Joe Crabtree says:

I think the men;s “Tickled” pink and gray t-shirt is awesome. Love that there is now a company that shares my love of pink! Yes, real men love pink!!!!!!!!!!

  21. catherineoc says:

My son would definitely love this one : http://www.handsomeinpink.com/cgi-bin/hip/hipcft01.html and his father (my lover), this one : http://www.handsomeinpink.com/cgi-bin/hip/hipadb02.html.

Here, at my house, pink is more of a « boy color » because both boys look so great wearing it!

  22. I always love the photos – the boys are so darned cute!

    Another drawing!!!

Awesome. I love CJ’s dirtbike shirt. I would have loved that as a kid, just to bewilder and confuse the folks in my rural town.

For me, the Grey Tickled Pink shirt in XL.

  23. MVRS says:

I was LOOKING for this site recently and couldn’t find it. Thanks!! My son Dash (almost 3) is very reminiscent of CJ. He would love the pink and purple dirt bike shirt in 3T (which seems to be out of stock), so if it runs small… then a 4T, otherwise a 2T.

    Take care,

    Myka (and Dash)

  24. Kelly Vickers says:

I love this company! Thanks for introducing me to their website.
I want the gray t-shirt that says “Tickled” in pink, 2X for an adult “Male.”
(OK, they DO need to reconsider their gender options at the website.
I recommend: Male, Female, & “Simply Fabulous”)

  25. OC Native says:

I’d love to have a “woman’s” chocolate Tickled Pink tee (large). But I think they should change their descriptions from “woman’s” and “men’s” to something else if the idea is to erase rigid gender lines in clothing and color choices. Perhaps a phrase that describes the difference between the 2 types of shirts would be a better way for them to put it, since I can’t see what the difference is from the pictures.

It’s great that you and the company are doing this fun give-away. Good luck to all who enter!

    • Jo Hadley says:

Hi, this is Jo from Handsome in Pink. Thanks for that feedback about how we call the shirts Men’s and Women’s. I wanted to clarify that the only reason we call them “Women’s” and “Men’s” is to give customers a sense of the sizing. A women’s small is much, much smaller than a men’s small. A smaller man would want to order the women’s tees and a bigger woman would want to order the men’s sizes. The shirts are the same otherwise and gender neutral. I hope that helps. Perhaps I should clarify that better on our website. Thank you again for that observation.

      • AkMom says:

oooh, Jo. Can you do the firetruck on a short sleeved purple shirt? I would definitely buy that in a size 4T or 6!

        Thanks for the consideration

  26. Ellen says:

I also love your blog.I think you are an amazing mom, a wonderful writer and you make me laugh and cry and I tell so many people about your blog….if I were to win I would love the women’s chocolate t-shirt tickled in pink in medium!

  27. Rachael says:

    I really love this blog!

If I win, I want this: Purple Power Tool Belt On Blue Short-Sleeved Onesie

  28. Katrina says:

  29. Alison Chi says:

I would LOVE a “Forget Princess Call me President” t-shirt for my daughter and I love your blog! CJ is lucky to have such awesome parents.

  30. Brendan Norton says:

    Hey C.J. and C.J.’s Momma!

My mom raised me to be the fabulous, stylish man I am today – 25 years old and I’m a proud gay professional actor living in Philly – I owe it all to her and, so, I’m a devout reader of your blog – love all the new adventures. 🙂

If you pick me, I would just love the Dirtbike Pink/Purple Tee in a Small! 😀

  37. Kathleen says:

My 6 year old son would love CJ and his purple shirt with the pink dirtbike! His favorite was purple and is now pink. (In fact he wishes America’s colors were not red, white, and blue, but pink, yellow, and gold.) I love your blog and the wonderful way your family embraces individuality. You are really helping to change the world for the better for all of us but especially for those of us with amazing gender creative kids!

  38. Coccinelle says:

In the eventiality that Canadians can participate too I would choose the Purple Power Tool Belt On Heather Gray Short-Sleeved Onesie.

If not, well good luck to everybody!!

  39. Mandy says:

My son LOVES firetrucks so I would have to say the racing firetruck shirt.

  40. David says:

Hi CJ’s Mom — well – I’m always in for something free. I enjoy (not always the right word) reading your posts and appreciate what you go through on a daily basis. One nephew had a wonderful box of dress-up clothes that included pirate and beige dress w/ matching pumps. He’s straight – but his parents are supportive of all their kids. I played dress up w/ my sister and even though I don’t regularly put on dresses – I have one in the closet for special occasions! I’d love the Tickled Pink man’s t-shirt – XL

  41. glored13 says:

What a great store! I’d love the Forget Princess Call Me President T for my friends new baby girl.

And can I just say, again, that you are AMAZING! Thank you for not only being such an awesome, supportive mom to CJ, but for sharing your experiences with the rest of us!

  42. Stephanie Baker-Harden says:

My daughter Juliet would LOVE the “Forget Princess call me President” long sleeve tee in 2T. Pick me C.J.! 😉

  43. Jennifer May says:

The tank dress (for my wife, who is an aeronautical engineer)!

  44. Saberlowe says:

The purple power tool belt on blue short-sleeved onesie, baby!

  45. Theresa says:

What a great store! I would love the Jammin’ Electric Guitar Purple & Lavender 3/4 Sleeved Baseball Tee in a size 8. And thank you for sharing your family’s stories. I always love reading your blog entries.

  46. Steven says:

Tough call, but I think I have to go with a medium men’s dirtbike tee.

  47. Juliet M says:

My son loves purple, so it would have to be the purple guitar t-shirt… He would really rock it!!

  48. Men’s tickled pink grey t-shirt!

  49. Love your blog, one of the few I read regularly (every post!). My 20-year-old son would love to wear the “Tickled Pink” men’s shirt in Medium at college. He is a serious ballroom dancer and could wear it during dance practice.

  50. I really want the mens Tickled Pink light Gray T, it would go great with my pink Converse hightops.

  51. Rabbit says:

    tickled pink!
thanks for blogging, you all make me laugh and cry – often at the same time. thank you.

  54. Jesse Robles says:

Uh, the only obvious choice is the “hansome in pink shirt” so that I could be twinsies with C.J. :o)

  55. Christi says:

I love your blog! You’re an AMAZING Mommy, and although I am not going through with my 17 month old daughter what your family is going through with C.J., the way you handle things is a great roadmap for me. I love what you’re doing and I am rooting for you 100%. If C.J. pics my name, I’d love the “Rocket & Stars Gray & Pink Long-Sleeved Tee,” size 2T. It will go great with my camo pants.

If you & C.J. ever find yourselves in Los Angeles, let me know. We’d love to have a playdate with you & C.J.

  56. Manawolf says:

The “Girly Girl” shirt is adorabuhls.

  57. Fantastic idea and thanks for the heads up about Handsome in Pink. It would be great to have the Girly Girl onsie for my newest red-headed granddaughter.

  58. Mike says:

I’d love the “Forget Princess – Call Me President” t-shirt. Not for me, of course, but as a present for my favorite 2-year old niece. C’mon now, do you think C.J. is the only kid with an awesome Uncle? My niece rocks – she’s assertive, aggressive, smart, has BIG personality, and is beautiful. Probably exactly the type of kid Handsome in Pink is hoping wears their stuff. Ahhh, on second thought, maybe this wouldn’t work as it would be difficult to explain to my brother how I won the shirt … LOL.

  59. I love the tickled pink shirts, and that’s what I would choose. I love a good inside joke like that. I do wish the Men’s was the chocolate cause I like that color better.

    • tlh-in-tlh says:

Well, it looks like it’s not a fitted shirt, so can you just order a particularly large size in brown?

  60. Lynn says:

Ooooh! Thank you! If we won, I think my son would really like the rocket & stars shirt (http://www.handsomeinpink.com/cgi-bin/hip/hipk2004.html).

  61. Jesus O. says:

Men’s “Tickled” Pink & Gray Tee

Damn! I don’t live in the US… good luck everyone!!

  63. Connie D says:
