“I had planned to become a Catholic priest–I spent 18 months in seminary following college before I realized I was gay. I also attempted suicide when I was 13.” – Singer/Songwriter Tom Goss.
Stop everything you’re doing and watch this powerful music video. See if you can spot my three favorite people in the world. And, share!
This video made me cry to think that preachers are still saying that a gay man or boy cannot be loved by God. Then I read he that loves not knows not God for God is love. Then I read John 3:17 and know that God loves all people including the LGBT.
This brought me to tears but as a member of a church with openly gay priests I am not happy with the depiction of all religions as being anti-gay, although it is a powerful point to drive home to so many. I am Episcopal. I love my church for it’s openness, Please do not condemn all Christians.

You’re amazing Lori! I can’t wait the video without smiling at your 3 favorites pop on screen : )
Painfully beautiful. Thanks to your “three” for participating! Some modern translations did (mis-)use the word ‘homosexual’ in translating that passage… and too many “preacher men” have been glad to abuse the error. Thankfully, more and more preachers (women and men) have learned better. Still not enough, but more and more….
It made me cry. It took me back to my first girlfriend and how we would get paired up on church functions just to spend alone time together until her mom found out. We were then told we were going to hell in a hand basket. It’s hard enough just to find someone who cares about you much a person of the “right” gender.
I FOUND ONE!! One with flying red locks! And in a tie! Gasp!
and for anyone’s information, that quotation is not actually in the Bible, no where, no how. The word Homosexual wasn’t invented until the late 1800s/early 1900s.
Fun fact. The words from that sermon were taken directly from a sermon found online. But, no, are not directly from the Bible.
Wow. Powerful.
Powerful stuff. Thank you Tom !!

I found the first minute particularly painful to watch but, to coin a phrase, it gets better.
Wonderful!
A Very Excellent Video that depicts what is seemingly the Christian norm for LGBTQIA people.
Mahatma Gandhi had it right in the 1950’s when asked what he thought of Christ:
I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”
It was visible even then that Christ’s message was not being followed, yet usurped by Man’s view of what things should be, the UN-Christianizing of the Religion.
Oh my word. I am so glad that they stood up for what they knew was right and didn’t let their parents stop them from being who they are. Such a good lesson on being who you truly are.
THANK YOU.
